Summer Sound

Temperatures are rising and as a result the I Love Belgium team is searching for all sorts of refreshments possible. Aside from our weekend getaways to the Belgian seaside, we also created a play list that includes all-Belgian summer vibes! You may not believe it, but Belgians do create summer music (hey, you have to keep busy on one of those rainy days). We're quite convinced you'll know Paradisio's Bailando or T-Spoon's Sex on the beach, but for your pleasure we completed this summer play list with other heat bearing beats and melodies. So turn up the volume, take a sip from your mojito and start dancing the Summer away!

1. We hit it off with a classic: Toots Thielemans' Bluesette. Yet not the traditional version, this Bluesette is part of The Brasil Project. This popular set matches brilliant harmonica player Toots, often in a supportive role, with many soothing Brazilian top singers and performers.

2. We continue with Junior Jack's E Samba. This Italian born but Belgian raised DJ and producer is know for his intense and hot beats. You'll feel immediately transported to a Brazilian beach!

3. Some young talent with Pomrad's Pomslap: the king of underground jazzy vibes. Be prepared for some serious relaxation!

4. And although Goose may be an electro rock band, their Synrise single hits all the right summer notes!

5. Ibiza is the place to be during Summer time! That's why Sweet Coffee's Daylight should be in our temperature soaring play list!

6. With a title such as "Summer's here", we couldn't do anything else then including this Magnus song. A joint dance project of Tom Barman (from the rock band dEUS) and CJ Bolland, they created Summer's Here as the soundtrack of Barman's 2003 film Any Way the Wind Blows.

7. We Can't Fly, but we surely can dance! Aeroplane's song may remind you of a Grace Jones summer song, instead it's an all-Belgian killer song!

8. A little less Disco a bit more future classic modern funk is Maseratay's Sexxxy! In other words a sleazy Summer song for those hot August nights.

I LOVE BELGIUM.

9. Buscemi's electro lounge music will explode your thermometer. Dance music with a warm feel is maybe the best description of the sound of Viaje Feliz!

10. We end in beauty with Arsenal's killer song Suadade. Whilst rooted in electronic dance music, Arsenal have incorporated numerous other genres of music into their albums, from African and Latin American rhythms. The perfect mix for a hot party!
