The Pixel Bar is a brand new wine & tapas bar near the Brussels Sablon. The particular interior is done by Belgian designer Charles Kaisin. Take the ‘pixel’ in the bar’s name very literally. The interior designer took a picture of a landscape and blew it up in a way the whole picture was pixelated. The pixels are like little tiles upholstered with felt fabric recovering the whole interior. Pixel bar is serves wraps, quiches and cakes and a great selection of wines. From French classics to bold world wines. We tried the soup of the day, tomato-leeks soup topped of with some parmigiano and a handful of bacon (6 €), and a firm glass of red house wine (4,5 €). The first spoon brought a smile on our faces. The service is very friendly (although, it took them 5 minutes to bring us the menu) but very French, so please bring your French pocket dictionary. Nevertheless, a very cosy uptown hangout.
