When hearing penthouse, we immediately think of the movie Pretty Woman (that’s normal, no?) in which Richard Gere stays in an impressive penthouse. When he invites our heroine up, she gasps in awe of the splendor of ‘his’ place. It’s this kind of luxury you can expect from the penthouse of Housestories in Brussels. And while there’s nothing wrong with the penthouse where Richard and Julia had some wonderful times, the Art Deco Penthouse we’re talking about has a lot more style and is more suitable for original souls with a taste for great design.
It’s no use pretending a Penthouse is for everyone, although maybe if we’re lucky for a very special occasion. But hell, we can dream! So why not take a look at this living space and marvel. The Penthouse is very spacious with its 175 square meters and creates with the open spaces and great lay-out a sense of freedom. The furniture is a mix of old and new with a splash of classic sixties design and modern pieces. The interior decoration with its darker colors and no nonsense approach gives the whole a somewhat powerful atmosphere. You can see Don Draper of Mad Men having a double whiskey in here! Certainly worth mentioning is the bathroom. The ideal room to relax with an impressive marble bathtub, walk-in shower and a wooden sauna. You can also admire the view on the two balconies where you look onto the panorama of Brussels and a south located garden. Sounds great, doesn’t it?
The house located in front of the park of Forest was built in 1932 by Belgian architect Albert Callewaert in the Art Deco style. There are also art deco elements in the penthouse, these beautiful features were renovated with great care. Interesting fact: you can rent the penthouse daily, but also for a week or month. Ideal for people who want to live in style wherever they go!
