Some houses you pass on the way leave a lasting impression. This was also the case with this stylish black house: your typical Brussels mansion with an a-typical surprising square volume on the roof. The I Love Belgium team always wondered what was to discover behind the façade. One day we ended up on the site of Bruno Vanbesien architects and there it was… the black house we secretly admired when biking around Brussels. Read the rest of this entry »

Lace Art
Elodie Antoine is an artist with a love for fabrics and techniques, one of the reasons why she was fascinated by the age-old custom of lace making. Instead of going for the white floral and romantic lace standard, she translated the technique into a structured black and white industrial world. A world where tactility is opposed by the bidimensionnality and the brittleness of the material. Read the rest of this entry »

The poem talks about emotions of chaos in which we find emptiness. And as we all know, in emptiness lays chaos. Visualising these emotions, Sara combined drawings with complex paper carvings.
