Seaside Treasures

Summer time equals beach time, that's why the I Love Belgium team is heading to Ostend for the weekend! Good idea you might think, but what when our Belgian weather decides to go autumn on our ass? Luckily we can hide in one of the many shops that participate in the #MODEinOOSTENDE shopping weekend. And that's not all, during night-time we can dance our feet off at the modernist Casino of architect Leon Stynen. It's also there that we will discover the work of young graduate jewelry designer Tine Sibbens.

Tine recently launched her new brand 21-12. Her inspiration? The amazing underwater world! In her jewelry line you'll find elements of the sea such as coral and shells. But it doesn't stop there! She also uses salmon leather and knotting techniques that are common fishermen knowledge. Beautifully captured by photographer Stefanie Geerts, you just want one of those underwater treasures gracing your neck!

And she won't be the only talent to discover this Saturday evening, fashion designers such as Nele Berckmans and Doriane Van Overeem will also participate in the fashion installation. So join us in Ostend for the weekend, or follow our seaside adventures on our instagram account! We will show you the architecture, nature, culture and fashion of Ostend, the city by the sea.
