Manifesto By Céline Lellouche

Manifesto by Céline Lellouche I Love Belgium BlogThose who did the Modo Brussels parcours 2011 might know who we’re talking about.. Céline Lellouche is the young ‘Bruxelloise’ who installed her clothing designs in the Filippa K store during the passed Modo Brussels walk.

The ambitious Céline Lellouche is not lacking creativity, as she does both interior and fashion design. She ’s got her conceptual skills from her Environment and Interior Design study at La Cambre. And her technical skills in fashion design from an evening training at the Sint Lukas Art Academy.

She allready took Belgium by surprise with her first collection ‘Build In’ presented on the Modo Brussels parcours 2010, and she did it again. This year she designed a collection named ‘Manifesto’ in which she explored the subject of recycling, as this is becoming a highly preformed practice in fashion. We where intrigued by her shine-through dress with other pieces of clothing inside that shaped the dress, expressing the idea of recycling and putting ready-to-wear in contrast with high-fashion. Another dress was embroidered with an enormous amount of pearls, articulating her thoughts on industrialism in contrast to craftsmanship. In the following pictures you can take a look at her new collection yourself.
