Dirk Van Saene for Delvaux

Occasionally, Studio Delvaux invites a designer to collaborate with stylists from inside to create a handbag or even a whole new collection. The latest guest at Studio Delvaux is Belgian designer Dirk van Saene. ILOVEBELGIUM

As a fashion designer, Dirk is known for his hand-painted clothing and the printed reproductions of his paintings on fabric. Once again, he took a paint-brush and designed two beautiful silk scarves for Delvaux. All pictures by By2photographers

When he created the design, the Antwerp creative soul was inspired by the iconic “Brillant” handbag. The silk carrés represent “Jour” and “Nuit” in two different colors. The yellow one with the red flowers stands for “Jour” and the red scarf is “Nuit”. The models were draped on 10 vases of pottery, handmade by Dirk van Saene. Every earthenware reveals a face with specific characteristics of a topmodel from the early fifties until today.

Claudia Schiffer – the top model from Germany. She is blond and gorgeous! Why the brown color of her earthenware model? Well, she has accidently been a little bit too long in the oven. Whoops!
