This newly renovated museum is a true cinema Valhalla. Since 1938, several curators have collected and archived inspiring, technical or just outstanding movies, resulting in an worldwide famed and praised movie collection. Amongst the 60.000 titles you’ll find rare cult movies, historical classics and experimental German cinema.
Located in Victor Horta’s Palais des Beaux Arts, you can start your day with a Bozar exhibition and end with a relaxing Cinematek movie without leaving the building. Cinematek is more than happy to show’n’share the cinematic treasures, the always changing program showcases an exiting mix of intriguing choices.
The I Love Belgium team is planning to go to Camera Begica, a co-operation between Cinematek and BELvue Museum. Throughout summer you can enjoy cinema sessions on the museum terrace. Enjoying a selection of Belgian-related films in a evening summer breeze. The dedication to cinema shows in the fact that the silent films will be projected to live piano accompaniment!
