Brunel Mintona, Customisez Moi, Hunting Collecting, Mademoiselle Jean, Benoit Béthume, I Love Belgium, Blog Brunel Mintona is a 24 years old, young up and coming Belgian fashion designer with Congolese roots (so Belgium runs in his DNA!). After studying fashion at Bichoffsheimm and at the Saint-Luc Institute, he worked as an intern for pin-up favourite Madmoiselle Jean and has been fashion editor Benoit Béthume‘s assistant for the past two years.

His career really took off when wining the “Customisez-moi” contest in 2010. The year after, Brunel presented his first collection at the fashionable Hunting and Collecting concept store in Brussels, which was a mix of elegance and conceptual thinking. Currently Brunel is designing a new collection which should be ready by the end of the year. The I Love Belgium team can’t wait for it to hit the stores! Maison Martin Margiela, Stefano Pilati, Hussein Chalayan and Nicolas Ghesquiere are among his main influences, the chap’s got taste !!
