Been is a young brand of legwear found by Belgian born Stephanie D’Heygere. Been as in ‘leg’ in English, was launched last summer with a deep focus on lycra leggings.

Stephanie graduated at the Royal Academy of Antwerp in fashion design in 2009, and run internships for impressive designers like Zac Posen, Jeremy Scott and Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. In the summer of 2011 she decided she was ready for her very own fashion brand that she started up together with her brother Benoit. That’s how Been was bred.

Their first collection for Summer 2011 existed of cycling shorts and leggings with playful digital prints from fruit skins from pineapples, melons and bananas. For the winter 2011 collection the cycling shorts were dismissed and catsuits were added, the bright colours were replaced by darker colours, using forest inspired prints from berries, three trunks and bears. All Been clothes are sold in their typical carton package in the form of a leg.
